Things happen so fast in the life of us Fellers that I can’t even remember what I did last week. I do remember that we got enough rain to perk up the soybean crops for some of the farmers in this corner of our state. I just know that last week was to be the 7 yr. recognition of Hurrican Katrina down in New Orleans and they were unable to celebrate due to Hurricane Isaac. The flooding caused many to be out of power or forced to move into shelters. As a result, my husband and I decided to take a road trip and take hygiene supplies and some dried good foods down there. We left at 5:00 a.m. Fri. and got into a hard-to-find motel after 10:00 that night. Sat. morning we found a church that was coordinating with another ministry to run a shelter at an elementary school. We dropped off 250 hygiene bags that included shampoo, soap, razors, deoderant, and the like. We arrived home at 2:30 a.m. Sun., had a short night’s rest and got up for Steve to preach at church. I’ll try to send pictures later because I think we might be able to with Steve’s newer phone.
