Judo Hajimemashita!

I have started Judo, once again. This picture is from last year, when I first started judo after school with the kids. I took a whole year off from learning judo, but now that our English speech contests are over I have time to learn again. Plus we have a new judo teacher his name is Idani Sensei. The sensei in this picture is Muira Sensei. Idani Sensei is much younger and more my size, so it has been easier to learn the moves. I will let you know how the progress comes along. It is quite difficult the training, but I am enjoying it so far and the kids get a real kick out of me trying to learn judo.

It’s nice to hear from Izumo no David-san.
You seem to have having a really good time there.
May I ask if it has any meaning that you are showing the clock?

Has it snowed there? My mother often told me that there was a lot of snow in Shimane. Here in Nebraska, we had a good snow yesterday, the third one this season.

Yes, the clock is in a series of photo’s. I was showing the kids reference to time and what you did in your daily routine. I get to school at 8:25, pic driving up to school. I do judo after school at 4:10. I eat lunch at 12: 50. Then I would ask them questions like what time do you eat lunch? what time do you get to school?
It snowed yesterday up in the mountains, and I am hoping for a lot of snow this year, as I enjoy snowboarding. I live about 2 and half hours from Izumo, and am in the south in a small town called Misumi. Yesterday, I worked at my mountain school and one of the teachers hit a black bear on the way to work, which means I am pretty much in the inaka:)
