My friends are finally getting married.  I am so happy for them, they have been together for some time.  Like any relationship it’s been a rocky one but one of love.  They now live in New York but have roots here in Hawaii.  The wedding is going to be in Hawaii and many of their friends I know and haven’t seen for ages.  I can’t wait to see them as they come here, many of them are living elsewhere in the mainland.  You can always count on a wedding to bring people together.  The wedding should give me a great opportunity to practice my Japanese, half of the wedding party will be from Japan.  Some of the people there taught me some of my first Japanese phrases to help me in the restaurant.  It will be interesting to see how mainland life has affected them and how life is treating them.  It’s going to be a great weekend I hope that it could last longer than just this week.
