Back in high school, my brother and I both took piano lessons from this guy from the Czech Republic. His name was Roman Serla and he was kind of a wacky guy but he was a great teacher and an awesome pianist. My brother took lessons from him for about three years but I only had lessons for about a year. In that year, he taught me a lot of the fundamentals so that I would be able to basically play anything. He had a style of teaching where he just wanted you to enjoy playing and have a good time. And at the time, I really did enjoy playing. Well, its been about five years since I’ve really played and I think it’s time I get back into it. My family just moved into a new house and we got our piano all set up.  Hopefully I can be able to enjoy it like I use to.
