Paintball

I recently went to play paintball, this is something we did for my friends bachelor party.  I used to play paintball quite often and it felt great to get into the mix again.  I can really tell how old I am getting, I just couldn’t move like I used too.  Plus my legs practically gave out half of the time.  There is so much excitment going around when playing paintball.  The sounds, the cooperation with team members.  Imagine for a second that you are trapped behind a bunker with paintballs coming at you, screaming and whizzing past your head making you heart rate jump.  You know that if one of those balls hits you’re not only out of the game but there is some pain to come as well.  It’s what you do at that point that makes the game so worthwhile.  You can sit down and wait to be hit or you can attack and try your best.  The strategies are so interesting that when you move it’s crutial to your team.  You peak out trying your hardest not to be seen so you make yourself as small as you can while trying to see the opponent.  You know that if you’re hit it will only hurt but for a moment.  Your lens is fogging making it difficult to see and your trapped with balls hitting the wood in front of you making a constant thump sound, that scares you back to reality that if you get hit it’s going to hurt.  This fear keeps you still but if you stay you’re good as dead so you return fire and ask for help from team members.  You ask “where are they”  he tells you.  This information calms you a little at least now you know where the shots are coming from.  Now you can attack and you’re not helpless.  But you get careless and run to another bunker to get a better angle than you get hit.  It hurts but you are more upset that it’s overm, while your walking off the course a 12 year old is laughing at you and happy that he took you out.  You can tell that he is not a novice just by looking at the way he is dressed but it doesn’t take away the sting of losing.  The fact that he is so young makes you even more unnerved.  This is why I love paintball so many emotions go through your head but it’s all in good fun.  plus the exercise is great.  I suggest everyone trying it once in their life.
