I am a year older now hopefully a year wiser, we’ll see.  Yesterday was my birthday and although I am now 29 and I am not really looking forward to birthdays anymore.  It’s a reminder that I’m older now and have more responsibility.  This year wasn’t so bad though I went to eat sushi at this great spot called Mitch’s sushi.  I know it sounds unusual because it’s owned by an American, but the sushi was great and the chefs were from Japan.  I will give fair warning though it’s not cheap.  My girlfriend and I had chef’s set menu which is $95 each while the set is great and delicious I was still hungry and wanted maybe a little more to eat.  The toro was the best I ever had, the chu toro was good but I had better.  The set didn’t include any anago so we ordered that at the end along with more toro and chu toro.  The anago was delicious, uni was really fresh and lobster sashimi was excellent.  The only thing is the ambiance in that restaurant isn’t that great but food overall was fantastic.  A word to the wise you have to bring your own liquer so plan ahead.
