On Monday the news broke that congress denied a bill for a government bailout.  I have never seen something like this affect the restaurant so much, but on Monday it was the slowest day I have ever seen in the history of our restaurant.  I think people were worried about their spending habits and decided not spend as much.  Even guests on vacation were not spending.  Foot traffic in Waikiki is usually high, but on that Monday it was probably the slowest I have seen it since 9/11.  I hope we can really bounce back from this.  Our economy is at it’s lowest I have ever seen it.  I’m thinking about investing, I hear that now is probably the best time to invest but it’s also the very risky.  You can get stock at it’s lowest but you have to worry that your company might go under.  I’m running out of options!  I saved up some money but with inflation money today is not worth money tomorrow.
