The Okinawan Festival is something I remember going to ever since I was little. This year, my Dad thought it would be cool for him, my sister, and I to go work for our club making andagi. For our Japanese 4 class, students were offered to work to gain a credit for community service, which is required by the end of the semester. I told my teacher I would be working for my own club, but she said it wouldn’t count! only the people who worked for her club recieved the credit! I got mad because I believed that this community service was for our local Japanese-Okinawan community, not to work for the teacher! But I did it anyway, and had a lot of fun, and learned how to make andagi!
