Today on my journey to class, I was not paying attention and got into a small fender bender accident.  While I’m ok my insurance is not.  The situation went like this I was driving and had the brake down but I went for a water bottle to have a drink and must have let up on the brake and rolled into the car in front.  We got out of the car and I suggested that we move the cars to the side.  After apologizing, I looked for any damages, there were none to be seen. So without a hesitation I asked lets exchange information.  I asked the gentleman would he allow me to take care of this if any damages are present without involving the insurance companies.  He refused and said “your gonna have to call the police”.  I know that I was at fault but this got me so upset.  There is no reason to call the police for one thing both cars had no damage.  No one was hurt and if there are any damages I said that I would take responsibility of my actions.  This not my argument to win but I am extremely bothered by this.  I wanted to slap the guy for making a big deal about nothing.  First off I was apologetic and offered a reasonable resolution to our problem.  This not only took up way to much time, it also wasted so many resources.  I don’t know maybe I just needed to vent.  I can’t get angry because I was at fault but I’m human and I am.
