Hello everyone,

My name is Marc Tanaka. This is my first entry into this blog, so I decided to begin with an introduction. I am a Hawaii born Japanese (4th generation) that lives on Oahu. I was born and raised in Aiea and never I never really had an opportunity to study Japanese. While I did take Japanese in school I never became very good at the language. Without anyone to practice with, it makes learning anything very difficult to do. I was a coworker of David and heard how well he speaks Japanese and really wanted to study (Davids my hero). Learning Japanese will help me not only at my job (which is waithelp in Waikiki) it will teach me about my heritage.
