I went surfing the other day in Waikiki and it was a lot of fun. The interesting part was the paddle back in for me, since it was a long paddle and this guy next to me started talking to me as we were paddling back in. We asked the basic questions where are you from? What are you doing here? blah, blah, and then next thing you know he is talking about why he is here, which happens to be for a conference on Korea. I was totally surprised and said that I had just finished giving a presentation on North Korea being a security dilemma. Then he asked if I would be interested in giving a short presentation at his conference, I was again a little surprised, but said yes. He said it was this Saturday at Fort Shafter. I am really excited as I will be speaking in front of 35 U.S. military officers and 15 Korean military officers as well as some of the top expert civilians in the feild on this issue. I always think it is strange when we come across coincedences, such as this. Also I hope that I do well and it is a good experience for me.
