Nou aru taka wa tsume o kakusu

“Nou aru taka wa tsume o kakusu” means “The hawk with talent hides his claws.” This means that you shouldn’t show off everything you have. A wise man keeps some of his talents in reserve.

I appreciate this saying because I also admire people who do not brag and are humble. The kind of people that let “actions speak louder than their words”. We live in a society where people are not as humble and are always looking for self glorification. I admire people who are talented but do not brag about it.
