These two people aren’t anybody special; I just wanted to express the feeling between any lovers. These two people are close enough to hold hands but, in reality, I drew this picture with two people in a long-distance relationship in mind. I was thinking that, whether together or apart, if the feelings of two people are one, the feelings must be warm. I had many people admire this picture. The thought popped into my head, "I wonder what all these people were feeling as they looked at this picture."

この「二人」が、特別、誰というわけじゃなく、いろんな恋人の間にある「気持ち」を表現したものです。この二人は手をつなげる距離にいるけれど、実際は、遠距離恋愛をしている二人を浮かべて描きました。近くにいても、離れていても、二人の「気持ち」が一緒にいれば、あったかいのかなと思いました。このイラストはたくさんの人に見ていただけました。それぞれ、どんな気持ちを抱いて見てくれたのかなぁと、ふと思います。
