Haiku Poem – 船の試運転

roar of the engine
echoes in the harbor
music for captains

(Jim Woodhull)
みなと でる にかげつ ぶり の エンジン おん

This week I drove the boat for the first time in two months! The main reason was to make sure the engines are working properly and also for all the other electronics. Since the boat has been sitting for 2 months without being used there can be problems with the engines and other areas in the boat. I drove out to Hawaii Kai which is about a 30 minute ride and the ocean was nice and calm. On the way back to the harbor it was also calm. Now everyday consists of cleaning and polishing and it will be ready by the time our customers come back!
