I just started spring cleaning. I decided to begin in the garage. The previous owner of my house left about twenty cans of paint. The paint is all about five years old. So, the paint is past the expiration date. In addition, the colors were all ugly colors like bright yellow, purple and orange. Therefore, I decided to throw them all out. Local rules require drying out the paint before throwing it in the trash. So, I went to the store and bought kitty litter. Then, I mixed the kitty litter into the paint. This made the paint dry much faster so that I could dispose of it properly.

　春の大掃除を始めました。私はガレージから始めることにしました。前の家の持ち主が、ペンキの缶を２０個ほど置いて行ったのです。缶は、すべて５年以上も前のものです。有効期限が過ぎています。その上、ペンキの色は、山吹色、紫、オレンジと言った私の嫌いな色でした。私はすべて捨てることにしました。しかし、地元の規則によって、ペンキはゴミ箱に捨てる前に、乾燥させる必要があります。私は、猫用トイレの猫砂を買うことにしました。猫砂にペンキを混ぜると、思った以上に早く乾きました。猫砂のおかげで、適切に処分することができました。
