Collaborative Haiku Poem – 春の庭

water less cold
buds start filling up
lilac flowers

水ぬるみ蕾ふくらむリラの花
みず ぬるみ つぼみ ふくらむ リラ の はな

step on lawn
full of themselves
robins

(Yoko version)
芝生踏む自信たっぷりロビンかな
しばふ ふむ じしん たっぷり ロビン かな

welcome Spring
robins and lilac buds
start performing

(Michiko version)
庭先で春のさえずりネブラスカ
にわさき で はる の さえずり ネブラスカ

Robins are the first birds that return in Spring. The birds work hard searching for earthworms from early morning till late evening,
They look very confident, holding their heads high and puffing up their chests.

春一番にやってくるロビンは働き者で、地中のミミズを探して朝早くから夕方遅くまで芝生の上を歩き回っています。頭を高く上げ、胸を突き出して歩く姿は自信たっぷりに見えます。
