Collaborative Haiku Poem – 洪水

flooding
towns along rivers
new islands

(Yoko version)
水溢れ川沿いの町島となり
みず あふれ かわぞい の まち しまとなり

strong wind
push forward in the town
snow water

(Michiko version)
雪解けの風に押されて水の街
ゆきどけ の かぜ に おされて みず の まち

Snow melt. Once it starts, there is no way to stop. Once-beautiful snow turns to water and runs towards the lowest levels. Everything on its way, highways, bridges and town streets, becomes rivers!

雪は溶け始めると待ったなし。止める手段もあらばこそ。山や平野を覆っていた雪は水と代わり、低地へ低地へと流れ、高速路も橋の上も見渡す限り一面の川となってしまいます。
