This past Sunday, March 10, was the 25th anniversary of the Honolulu festival. There was a special fireworks show that lasted 25 minutes. The fireworks were from the famous Nagaoka fireworks. The fireworks were shot from 3 separate barges just off shore close to where the Honolulu zoo is located. Every Friday evening there are the Aloha Friday fireworks but those last only 5 minutes and are shot off from one boat. They are nice but can’t compare to the Nagaoka fireworks. Since they are shot off from 3 different boats simultaneously it is a much more elaborate show. The design of the Nagaoka fireworks are much more elaborate where the Friday night fireworks are much more simple. There were many people at the show and everybody seemed to have been very happy with the show as they clapped many times during the show and at the end everybody clapped for a long time.

　２０１９年３月１０日に開催された、ホノルル・フェスティバルは、２５周年でした。それを記念して、２５分間続く、特別の花火大会がありました。花火は、新潟県長岡市の人達の手によって、ホノルル動物園のすぐ近くの沖合にある三艘のはしけから打ち上げられました。ホノルルでは、毎週金曜の夜、アロハ フライデーの花火大会があります。それは、ヒルトン ハワイアン ホテルの前の洋上に浮かぶ一艘のはしけから打ち上げられます。花火は、５分間だけです。これも素晴らしいですが、長岡花火とは比べ物になりません。長岡花火は、同時に三艘のはしけを使いますから、はるかに手の込んだ仕掛けです。長岡花火のデザインは、凄く精巧ですが、アロハ フライデーの花火は、単純です。花火大会には、たくさんの人出がありました。そして、大会の間、皆さん、何度も拍手をし、終わった後は、いつまでも拍手を送っていました。誰もが、大変満足していたようです。
