Haiku Poem – 夕暮れ

golden rays
melt into the waves
the seaside road

雲焼けて金色の波海の道
くも やけて こんじき の なみ うみ の みち

Driving along the coast in Hawaii, the breathtaking sight of the glorious sunset grabs my attention. To the extent that I had to pull over. To watch in awe as the sun melted into the ocean and cast its golden rays upon the evening sky before disappearing into the night.

 ハワイの夕暮れ時に、海沿いの道をドライブしていると、息を呑むような素晴らしい景色に心を奪われます。私は車を道の脇に止め、この夕暮れの景色を楽しみます。鮮やかな夕日は、徐々に海に溶け込み、夜のとばりが下りる少し前、金色(こんじき)に輝く光線を放ちます。私は畏敬の念を持って眺めます。
