Haiku Poem – 新年の抱負

blank paper
bright desires
brand new chance

Jim version
ブランク メモ あかるい きぼう しん きかい

Michiko version
とし あらた きたい ふくらむ かのうせい

Since a new year has begun I was thinking of a Haiku poem that would show the idea of ” New Years resolutions”. The new year is kind of like a blank piece of paper. Nothing is written on it yet. Nothing has really happened either good or bad and we have a new chance to change something about ourselves. Maybe quitting a bad habit or developing a good habit.
