豊潤なハワイの恵み天の味
ほうじゅんな　ハワイのめぐみ　てんのあじ

In Hawaii we are so lucky to have so many different kinds of fruits and in such abundance! Often when driving one can see mango trees and papaya trees. In my neighborhood there are many lemon trees and banana trees and of course there are the great pineapple fields on the north shore. I think that all the different tastes are wonderful and I don’t mind not having the fruits from the mainland even though they are readily available in our stores.

　ハワイには色々な種類の果物がふんだんにあります。私達は、本当に幸運だと思います。ハワイで車を運転していると、マンゴーやパパイヤの木をよく見かけます。私の近所には、レモンとバナナの木が沢山あります。勿論、オアフ島の北、ノースショアーには、有名なパイナップル畑が広がっています。ハワイの果物は、それぞれ、すべてが素晴らしい味です。ですから、米本土から仕入れた果物をスーパーで買いたいとは思いません。
